Laser Hair Removal

Experience a new standard in laser hair removal with Candela's GentleMax Pro Plus™. Its dual-wavelength design (755 nm Alexandrite + 1064 nm Nd:YAG) lets us safely and effectively treat all skin tones and hair types. With larger spot sizes, shorter pulse durations, and higher repetition rates, your sessions are faster and more efficient — even for large areas. The built-in Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD™) keeps your skin protected and your comfort high, while powerful settings help target both coarse and fine hairs for lasting results.

Laser hair reduction works by targetting the pigment (melanin) in hair follicles with concentrated light energy. The laser heats and damages the follicle, inhibiting future hair growth without harming the surrounding skin.

Our laser can be used safely on all skin types, but it does not work on red, white or gray hairs due to the difference in pigment.

It is essential to avoid sun exposure both before and after your appointment. Additionally, if you have a tan (natural sunlight, tanning beds, spray tans, or self-tanners) you will not be eligible for treatment till it fades. Tanned skin can pose risks and significantly diminish the effectiveness of the procedure.

A Consultation is REQUIRED. Do not shave, pluck or wax before your consultation so the Laser Technician can assess both your skin and hair.

Dr. Kantor is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist based in Pittsfield, with over 40 years of experience in women’s health. He earned his medical degree from East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine, and completed his OB-GYN residency at Stamford Hospital. Well known for his compassionate approach and dedication to patient safety, Dr. Kantor serves as the Medical Director of our Spa, providing professional oversight of all laser hair removal services performed with the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus®. While he does not perform the treatments directly, his guidance ensures every procedure meets the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.

Small Areas: upper lip, chin, cheeks, sideburns, areolas, navel, hands, feet.

Medium Areas: underarms, half arm, stomach strip, bikini line, buttocks, shoulders.

Large Areas: chest, full arms, half legs, full brazilian.

Extra Large Areas: full legs, full back, abdomen.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal. By targeting each follicle with precision, we help you achieve smooth, lasting results over time.
